Day 2

Exploring Siwa’s Local Attractions

Our tour of Siwa’s local attractions begins with a visit to Shali Old Town after breakfast. Although some buildings still remain in use, many are slowly deteriorating over time due to their unique construction of salt, mud, and plaster.

Next, we will move onto the Temple of the Oracle, which is located in the heart of Siwa. This ancient temple was once visited by Alexander the Great, who came seeking the advice of the oracle. The temple’s ruins are still standing and offer a glimpse into the past.

After that, we will head to the Cleopatra Bath, which is believed to have been a favorite spot of the Egyptian queen. Here, you can take a dip in the warm, mineral-rich waters and relax while enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Finally, we will end our tour with a visit to the Siwa House Museum, which showcases the local culture and history of Siwa. This museum is home to many artifacts, including traditional clothing, tools, and pottery.

Overall, our tour of Siwa’s local attractions promises to be a fascinating and educational experience for all who join us.

Explore Ancient Tombs and Temples in Siwa Oasis

Discover a remarkable piece of history in Siwa Governorate with the Mountain of the Dead – the second most significant monument after the Temple of Revelation. This conical mountain, located just 2 km from Siwa Oasis, is home to thousands of rock-carved tombs, serving as the primary cemetery in ancient times. From the twenty-sixth dynasty to the late Roman era, the cemetery witnessed burials of significant figures, as supported by inscriptions and archaeological finds.

Another must-see in Siwa is the Amoun temple (Om Obayda) dating back to the 30th dynasty. The temple is where Alexander the Great sought validation of his legitimacy as the son of Zeus and rightful ruler of the country through the Oracle Temple.

Take a break for lunch and some rest before ending your day with a relaxing sunset view in Fitnas Island. The island, located 4 km to the west of Siwa, is entirely covered in palm trees, except for a circular, tiled pool.

After a day of exploration, return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3

Experience the Beauty of Siwa with a Safari Adventure

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on an unforgettable adventure to one of Siwa’s most famous and breathtaking locations – the salt lake! Take a dip and float on the water, like the Dead Sea in Jordan.

Next, head to Cleopatra’s water spring to wash off the salt and enjoy a refreshing beverage at the cozy coffee shop. After lunch, spend the late afternoon at Bir Wahed – a hot and cold spring situated 12 km southwest of Siwa. Right in the middle of the sand dunes, you can witness a mesmerizing sunset from the top of a sand dune.

Finally, indulge in a sumptuous Bedouin dinner at the Bedouin restaurant before returning to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.
